For Your Consideration:

Right on cue if anyone's feeling ready for some musical entertainment tonight, let's have a run through a few more of the varied things on offer this week in Brum...

10 February, The Bull's Head (Moseley)
Courtesy of the We Love Brum! team, this week's show features Birmingham singer-songwriter Alex Moir, "a heady concoction of rough, morning after vocals and beautiful chord progressions that hit you like a thousand and one vivid colours & shapes..."

Alongside, appearances from country / soul / folk performer Tara Chinn and acoustic pop artist Emily Music ensure a superb line-up from start to finish. And it's FREE!

10 February, Hare & Hounds
Alternatively, if you fancy your indie-folk stylings from further afield, London's Fanfarlo will be appearing at this Birmingham Promoters show along with Welsh experimenters Race Horses, who promise wonky pop songs via 60s garage rock with four part harmonies. Support comes from local indie-folksters Mr Bones & The Dreamers.

11 February, Hare & Hounds
"...damn hard sugary rock that scratches like it's the biggest bitch in the playground" will be the order of the day come tomorrow, as Doll & The Kicks headline the bill following support appearances on Morrissey's recent tour.

Paving the way for them, local indie rock band The Amateurs and an opening turn from fellow Brummies, The Lights, "Imagine Elvis Costello writing lyrics for ELO, fronted by James Dean Bradfield's younger siblings." (NME)

12 February, Eddie's Rock Club
Finally, for a change of mood, how about finishing the week beneath a barrage of riffs? Daisy Cutter have drawn comparisons to acts like QOTSA, Foo Fighters and Audioslave, and they'll be stopping off in Birmingham on Friday as part of their UK Tour.

Support will be ably provided by Birmingham's own Bite The Kerb and Pieces Of Beth.
